Michael Hyatt is a Jamaican-American actor and she’s probably one of the most famous Jamaican actors you’ve never heard of. Before her work in film and television, Michael performed in Ragtime on Broadway, gracing stages throughout the United States. Since then, she has played Brianna Barksdale in top HBO series The Wire, Dr. Noelle Akopian on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Detective Sheila Muncie on Ray Donovan.
Manifesto Jamaica hosted an intimate evening of conversation with Michael, in association with the Jamaica Film and Television Association and Good News Jamaica, curated to inspire and uplift the creative spirit. The theme of the conversation was, ‘Actualising an International Acting Career’ and boy, did it get real. Watch the full-length video here, courtesy of Good News Jamaica.
